### atan2

#### considering the second quadrant ( where x<0 and y>0) as the first quadrant how will i use the function atan2(y,x) to calculate the directions

Earlier saw manu comments on thé usage of atan2(x,y) including how to obtain only positive values. I thank Édith for that. My problem is that the second quadrant is the initial quadrant so i dont know how to make matlab to understand that. I tried to do this. Second quadrant(which is considérer as first) i did 90+ antan(y,x) Third quadrant(which is considérer as second) i did 270+ antan(y,x) Am i rigjt??? Fourth quadrant(which is considérer as third) i did + antan(y,x)
