How to retrieve a particular tag from an XML output using curl
I am issuing a curl command using a command prompt and the output is like this: <user-default-list> <list-items> <list-count units="quantity">4</list-count> <list-item array="true"> <uriref>/manage/v2/users/sahil</uriref> <idref>7155997774390988975</idref> <nameref>sahil</nameref> <description>admin user</description> </list-item></user-default-list> I want to list only the nameref and description tags in the output. How can this be achieved? Grep and xmllint won't work for me, as the output is being retrieved in a Windows command prompt, which does not have those tools. Please suggest some solutions.
