React Redux: Syncing user data when app is in background
I am writting an android application using react native and redux. I need to send some event to backend server when there is a new SMS and app is in background. I have handled recieving SMS part using broadcase reciever. How do i access the App state when i am running syncing part as there is no component live. I don't want to directly access the store and access the state. I stumbled upon redux-saga while reading through stack overflow questions and answers, but that also needs access to state. Am i missing anything here ?
Redux-saga is a very useful library if you need or will need to perform a number of operations in response to what happens in your app in the background. However to actually answer your question about receiving events while your RN app is in the background: you are in luck on android because there is headless.js. In iOS you can do this natively and communicate with RN according to the docs.
